It may be the middle of September, but the countdown to Christmas has officially begun here at Hilltop, and we’re absolutely thrilled to announce that our Family Christmas Evening is back!

📍 Hilltop Garden Centre, Clacton Road, Weeley (just off the A133)
After the incredible success of last year’s event - which saw hundreds of families from Clacton, Colchester, and across Essex join us for a night of festive fun - we couldn’t resist bringing it back, and this year promises to be even bigger, brighter, and more magical.
So, what’s in store for you and your family? Think twinkling lights, festive treats, Christmassy music and plenty of family fun! Children will meet Santa’s singing reindeer (a huge hit with the kids last year), peek inside Santa’s sleigh, and post their Christmas wish lists straight to the North Pole via our special letters to Santa post box. There’ll be face painting, balloon modelling, a colouring competition with prizes, and a festive photo spot perfect for capturing family memories together.
Of course, no Hilltop event is complete without delicious treats from our award-winning cafe, so we’ll be serving up complimentary festive nibbles and refreshments throughout the evening. Adults and children of all ages can browse our fantastic Christmas displays (we can't WAIT for you to see them), and one lucky visitor will win VIP tickets to meet Santa in December!
It’s also the perfect time to take advantage of our late night shopping hours to explore our Christmas food and gift area, brimming with festive goodies and unique gift ideas. Adam, our Shop Manager, sums it up perfectly:

The best part? Entry and parking are completely free, and there’s no need to book. Just turn up on the night and step straight into the magic of Christmas at Hilltop.
