Spring has finally arrived and we’re celebrating in the best way possible – with a fantastic (and FREE) Easter event for the whole family at Hilltop Garden Centre! Save the date in your calendar - Sunday 13th April - because we have a magical day planned for your family that’s bursting with fun, laughter, and a sprinkle of Disney magic. Whether you're young (or young at heart), there’ll be something for everyone to enjoy, so pop on your best Disney outfit and join us for an egg-cellent Easter celebration! Here's what we have planned for Sunday 13th April at Hilltop:
Easter Egg Hunt
What’s Easter without an Easter egg hunt? Join in the fun as children from around Clacton, Weeley and the surrounding areas search high and low around Hilltop for hidden Easter eggs. Kids will put their knowledge to the test with our fun-filled quiz to find the eggs – and there will be a prize to be won for every child who completes the egg hunt! Get the whole family ready for some hopping good fun as you solve clues to track down our tasty treats.
Meet a Real Disney Princess!
Do your children or grandchildren dream of meeting a real-life Disney princess? Well, dreams really do come true at Hilltop! From 11am to 1pm, one of your favourite Disney princesses will be here for a special meet and greet experience. It’s the perfect chance for little ones (and big Disney fans too) to say hello, take a photo to remember the experience, and share their best royal wave. But which Disney princess will it be? Well, we're keeping her identity a big secret until the day, so make sure you join us on Sunday 13th April when you'll find out!
Face Painting Fun
On the day, kid's will be able to magically transform into their favourite character with our fantastic face painter, who will be here from 10am to 2pm. Whether they want to be a fierce tiger, a beautiful butterfly, or a mini Disney prince or princess, our talented artist will bring their chosen character to life - and it won't cost you a penny.
Kids’ Colouring Competition
Get your child egg-cited for Easter with our Easter-themed colouring competition! We’ll provide all the supplies, so all they need to bring is their imagination. Parents can relax in our cafe to refuel with a well-deserved drink and a slice of homemade cake while the children get creative!
Dress Up for the Occasion
The entire Hilltop team will be dressing up as their favourite Disney Characters on the day, so we’d love it if everyone – yes, that includes grown-ups (!) – came dressed up too! Elsa, Woody, Buzz, Sleeping Beauty or even Maleficent - wear your favourite Disney outfit and join in the fun. Of course, dressing up isn't compulsory but if everyone comes along as a Disney character, Hilltop will magically transform into something out of a Disney movie. And wouldn't that be amazing?
Enjoy Easter Treats in our Café
For one day only, our garden centre restaurant and café will be serving up special Easter-themed treats alongside our regular menu. There'll be Easter-themed hot drinks, milkshakes, cakes and much more – the perfect treats to get you and your family egg-cited for Easter - so don't miss it!
