Gardening jobs for March
- Hoe and mulch around plant beds to keep the weeds under control
- Force Rhubarb (Stock now in)
- Top dress pots with fresh compost
- Lift and divide perennial plants
- Plant shallots onion sets and early potatoes
- Dig in plenty of organic soil conditioner such as organic farm manure
- Use an organic based slug control such as growing slug stop or vitax slug gone around veg beds and containers.
- Prepare strawberry beds
- If the weather turns mild and dry give the lawn a light cut
