Hello from all of us at Hilltop Garden Centre, your friendly, family-run garden centre just outside Clacton on Sea in Essex! As February rolls in, we’re excited to share what’s new in-store this month. From delightful locally produced goodies to stunning plants that will brighten up your garden, we’ve got plenty to offer. Whether you’re stopping by for inspiration, a spot of shopping, or a relaxing break at our garden centre with a café, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
A Taste of Local Goodness
We’re excited to introduce a brand new range of infused honey from the Bee Friendly Company, based right here in Tendring. These delicious varieties include:
- Honey and Lemon
- Honey and Chilli
- Honey, Ginger, and Turmeric
- Honey and Ginger
For those who love traditional flavours, we now stock Knights Farm honey from Mr. Milligan, also in Tendring, and a deliciously tasty Damson 'cheese' preserve from the Stour Valley Organic Lavender Company (goes so well with cheese and biscuits).
Plus, don’t miss out on Gina’s homemade preserves, chutneys, and marmalades, crafted locally in Horsley Cross. You can choose from sweet treats including hedgerow jam, strawberry jam and Victoria plum jam, and not-so-sweet (but equally delicious) chutneys like mango chutney and runner bean chutney (yes, you did read that correctly;)) and zesty marmalades such as orange marmalade with whiskey and stem ginger, 4-fruit marmalade, and many more.
Our food pantry is also now stocked with free-range eggs, delivered regularly from North Farm Eggs. These fresh eggs will make a tasty difference to your meals, so pop in and stock up on eggs to make the best-tasting breakfasts or use them in your baking.
Don’t forget, all of these new products make wonderful gifts too - all grown, harvested and produced locally!
